Force 2 :John Abraham, Sonakshi Sinha - Movie That Pay Tribute to Army

John Abraham is buffed and ripped. Sonakshi Sinha is meticulous and believes in doing her homework. He is a Mumbai police officer with a death wish. She is a RAW agent with an agenda to avenge her fallen comrades. They are together in Force 2.

Directed by Abhinay Deo, the film is a sequel of 2011 superhit Force 2. The poster tells you a stark truth: “The R.A.W. truth -- A dead soldier is a martyr -- A dead spy is a traitor.”

The man opposing them is baddie par excellence Tahir Raj Bhasin. He wants all RAW agents dead, they won’t let that happen, of course. What follows is a high-octane ride of car chases, stunts while hanging mid-air, knife fights, zooming bullets and our hero picking up a Mercedes. He takes nails out of his shoulder like he is shrugging off lint.

There is some zany exchange of dialogues between John’s ACP Yashwardhan and Sonakshi. Actually, every time John opens his mouth. He tells a baddie his wife died eight years ago and ever since then “MERI SATAK GAYI HAI.” He tells Tahir’s character to sell his house and get used to living in a room without windows aka jail.

About the theme of celebrating unsung heroes, the director had earlier said, “Seldom do we think or even speak about the people because of whom we are able to live a normal life. It was this idea that got Parveez (writer) and me completely intrigued.

Force 2 is a film which highlights this thought, it is about honoring the unsung heroes. RAW is a department which is almost invisible to us and ‘Force 2’ is my earnest effort at giving a standing ovation to the unrecognized martyrs of our country.”

The film is produced by John Abraham and comes after another intense, brooding role in Dishoom. Tahir is being Tahir, people who have seen him in Mardaani will understand.

Force 2 will release on November 18.
